Hoffman Estates, Windy City Bulls seek donated toys Saturday at Target

The season of giving is here, and the Hoffman Estates community is coming together to make the holidays brighter for students and families of John Muir Elementary School.

From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 30, residents are encouraged to visit the Target store at 2800 Sutton Road in Hoffman Estates to donate toys for the Holiday Joy Market, an initiative that spreads holiday cheer to local families in need.

The event will feature the Windy City Bulls, who are bringing their vibrant van, complete with lights and holiday music, to the Target parking lot. As a special thank you, the team will be handing out Windy City Bulls gear to everyone who donates.

The effort will culminate in the Holiday Joy Market, hosted by John Muir Elementary School on Friday, Dec. 6, where the donated toys will bring smiles and joy to students and their families.

“The holiday season is tough for many students and families,” said Mayor Bill McLeod. “This toy collection and the Holiday Joy Market is a bright spot for all of us. All donations are welcome, we want the entire community involved.”
