Police: Chicago woman, California man charged after fighting in park near Bartlett
A Chicago woman and California man were charged with multiple crimes after a fight in James “Pate” Philip State Park near Bartlett over the weekend.
Bartlett police responded to the park just before 3 p.m. Saturday to a reported domestic disturbance, according to a press release from the department. Upon arriving they found Heather Doyle, 36, of Chicago, and Mark Doyle, 67, of Eureka, having an argument. After police arrived, Heather Doyle and Mark Doyle started a fight with the approaching officers and resisted arrest, according to the press release.
Mark Doyle was charged with one count each of attempted aggravated assault on a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanor charges.
Heather Doyle was charged with one felony count of aggravated battery to a police office, two misdemeanor counts of resisting a peace officer and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
Both were released pretrial. Mark Doyle’s next scheduled court appearance is on Monday, March 3, at the DuPage County Courthouse in Wheaton, and Heather Doyle’s is on Wednesday, March 5, also in Wheaton.
