‘Beyond the Finish Line’: St. Paddy’s Day 5K Gives Back to the Community
Run, walk or jog to help others in the community during the Naperville Sunrise Rotary’s St. Paddy’s Day 5K.
Set for 8 a.m. Saturday, March 15, in downtown Naperville, the 5K walk/run will take place just before the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The event supports a wide range of community initiatives, including local nonprofits that benefit youth education and character-building programs.
“We host this event annually because it allows us to give back in a big way, generating over $40,000 in grants that support local organizations focused on community, international, youth and vocational initiatives,” said Ryan Siebert, race chair and a member of the Naperville Sunrise Rotary. “From food pantries to scholarships and local nonprofits, the impact of this race goes far beyond the finish line.”
Participants are encouraged to dress in green, and registration will be available until 7:55 a.m. on race day at saintpaddysday5k.com. On-site registration is also available. Siebert said this year organizers focused on enhancing the race day experience with more energy, music and a few surprises along the course.
“This race is more than just a run — it’s a celebration of community, generosity and fun,” Siebert said. “Whether you’re running for a personal best, walking with friends or simply enjoying the St. Paddy’s Day spirit, everyone comes together for a common cause.”
Gerald Subaru of Naperville is a Legacy Sponsor for this event.
“Gerald Auto has been a fantastic partner and a key supporter,” Siebert said. “Their commitment to the community and willingness to give back make a huge difference in helping us grow the race and maximize our impact. With their support, we’re able to enhance the experience for participants, increase fundraising efforts, and ensure this event continues to thrive for years to come. Partnerships like this are what make community events like the St. Paddy’s Day 5K possible, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
Gerald Subaru of Naperville is honored to be part of the St. Paddy’s 5K.
“The St. Paddy’s 5K is a fantastic kickoff to the spring season,” said Donna Lawler of the Gerald Auto Group. “It’s a wonderful event that brings the community together for a fun-filled experience that supports an excellent cause.”
