League of Women Voters posts videos of Arlington Heights-area candidate forums, interviews

The League of Women Voters of the Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect and Buffalo Grove Area is providing opportunities for voters to see candidates in local April 1 elections at public forums and in recorded individual interviews.

All candidate forums and interviews mentioned are recorded and being posted in their entirety on the LWV AH-MP-BG839 YouTube channel, also accessible at its website lwvah.org.

On Thursday, March 13, from 6 to 9 p.m., the League will hold its remaining live candidate forums at Arlington Heights village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.

The first from 6 to 7 p.m. features all three candidates for Arlington Heights mayor. The second from 7:30 to 9 p.m. features all eight candidates for Arlington Heights trustee.

On YouTube, the public will be able to view interviews given by Democratic candidate for Wheeling Township supervisor Maria Zeller Brauer; Mount Prospect mayoral candidates Paul Hoefert and Trisha Chokshi; and Prospect Heights Ward 2 alderman candidates Terry Anderson and Alan Schneider.

Recordings of two-candidate forums featuring Arlington Heights Memorial Library trustees candidates and Wheeling Township trustees candidates, held on March 2 are also being posted.

Not participating or appearing were library trustee candidate James Moncada; incumbent Republican Wheeling Township supervisor candidate Kathy Penner; and incumbent Republican Wheeling Township trustee candidates Jeanne Hamilton, Maria McCarthy, Joe Murglin, and Darrel Talken.
