Age: 42
Occupation: School nurse

What is the most serious issue your community will face in the coming years and how should the village board respond to it?
Due to recent local political issues, our community has been divided. We have to collaborate in unity to move the village forward. We have to work together for the best interests of our residents. In my neighborhood, a water main break occurred, and if division in the board continues, infrastructure is getting overlooked.
How would you describe the state of your community's finances? What should be the top priorities for spending during the next few years? Are there areas of spending that need to be curtailed?
Our village finances been stable with the current administration, however there is always improvement that is needed. We can do more and as a trustee I will do everything I can to make sure funds are spent wisely to ensure our village progress.
What do you see as the most important infrastructure project the community must address? Why and how should it be paid for? Conversely, during these uncertain economic times, what project(s) can be put on the back burner?
With the water main line break in my neighborhood, we should do a comprehensive assessment on all the water mains. Each project needs full review and needs prioritizing. We can discuss this as a community and decide which to put on a back burner.
Describe your experience working in a group setting to determine policy. What is your style in such a setting to reach an agreement and manage local government? Explain how you think that will be effective in producing effective actions and decisions with your village board.
In my 12 years experience as a nurse, I have collaborated in implementing patient care policy and goals. Collaboration requires efforts from all parties involved. It is important to find common ground and respect to other opinions and ideas. If policy is not working, then a revision is required in order to progress the goal.
What makes you the best candidate for the job?
I have been resident for 35 years. I grew up in Glendale Heights and have seen the progress of the village. I am raising my 3 daughters where I was raised.
I am a public servant, currently serving as a local school nurse. My experience with dealing with the local residents within my districts is the reason why I am running for the office. As a nurse, my organization skills and attention to details will help me serve the people. I prioritize fiscal responsibility and transparency to lead the village.
What’s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?
It has been a long time since we had a parade in Glendale Heights. I would like to see my children see parade with all the diverse people from our town.
