Arlington Heights man facing multiple drug charges

An Arlington Heights man is facing several drug charges after being arrested in Palatine Saturday, officials said.

Brian G. Lister, 37, of the 3400 block of West Payton Place, is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (amphetamines), all felonies; possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; and pedestrian disobeying a traffic control device, a petty offense.

Two Palatine officers were patrolling on foot near North Brockway and West Wilson streets when they say they saw a man illegally cross railroad tracks and enter a blue Audi R8, where they could see cocaine in his possession, according to a news release from the Palatine Police Department. The officers searched Lister and his car and found about 30 grams of cocaine and pills containing amphetamine, according to police.

Lister was taken to the Leighton Criminal Court in Chicago for first appearance court and was ordered detained. His next court appearance is scheduled for Mar. 18 in Rolling Meadows.
