Free admission to Dunn Museum with food donations

Visitors to Lake County’s Bess Bower Dunn Museum, 1899 W. Winchester Road in Libertyville, will be admitted at no charge from later this month, with the donation of at least one nonperishable food or toiletry item.

The food drive is from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28, except for Thursday, March 27 when the museum closes at 8 p.m.

Collected items will benefit the Libertyville Township food pantry. Last year, more than 1,280 visitors donated 1,400 pounds of food and toiletries.

The nationally accredited Dunn Museum brings Lake County’s natural and cultural history to life through a balance of interactive exhibitions, authentic artifacts, reproductions and audiovisual displays. Call (847) 968-3400 for more information.
