‘Little Bits of Whimsy’ quilt show to showcase regional talent
The North Suburban Quilters Guild will be hosting its biannual quilt show, “Little Bits of Whimsy,” on May 17-18 at Judson University in Elgin.
It will feature more than 200 quilts from talented artists across the region, highlighting a diverse range of styles and techniques from traditional to contemporary.
Attendees will experience a visual feast of intricate designs, vibrant colors, and innovative uses of fabric. In addition to the quilt displays, discover special treasures and win prizes at the event featuring a marketplace of quilt supplies and fabrics, a boutique of handcrafted items, raffle baskets, door prizes, scraps and used book sale. There’s also a chance to win a handcrafted quilt in the raffle drawing on Sunday, May 18.
The quilt show will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 17, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in the Lindner Fitness Center at Judson University, 1151 N. State St. in Elgin. Admission is $8 or free for children under age 12. There is free parking; buses welcome.

The Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild members, primarily from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, share a passion and appreciation for the art of quilting. Its mission is to foster the art of quilting and to encourage a high standard of design and technique in all of quiliting’s various forms.
