Incumbents show good leadership
I am writing in support of the current Wheeling Township Republican officials who are up for re-election on April 1st. Under their leadership, Wheeling Township has the second lowest taxes in Cook County — and the township with the lowest taxes does not have a road district or General Assistance Fund, both of which are part of Wheeling Township’s budget. In addition, thanks to our current responsible leaders, Wheeling Township’s last tax levy in 2024 was lower than it was four years ago. We are one of the few governmental bodies in Illinois actually heading in the right direction. Thank you to Wheeling Township Supervisor Kathy Penner and her team for being such fierce protectors of taxpayers’ money.
