Two hospitalized after crash between car, Glen Ellyn squad
A Glen Ellyn police officer and another person were taken to the hospital after a car crash on Wednesday, officials said.
The crash happened at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Briar Street in Glen Ellyn just after 11 a.m., according to a press release from the Glen Ellyn Police Department. The police officer was driving in a marked squad car through the intersection at the time of the crash. The other vehicle rolled over as a result of the crash.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the passenger car was cited for failing to yield at the intersection.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
