Aurora’s Paramount Theatre announces summer comedy, concert lineup

Aurora’s Paramount Theatre announced its summer lineup consisting of sketch and stand-up comedy, tribute shows and a pair of “Wicked” sing-alongs.

The summer season begins with comedian Jen Kober (“The Mandalorian,” “American Horror Story”) performing at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, at the Copley Theatre, 8 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora.

“The Second City 65th Anniversary Show,” consisting of some of the company’s most popular sketches and shows, plays the Copley Theatre June 17-28.

Next up are two chances to sing along to the blockbuster film “Wicked” during 2 and 7 p.m. screenings Saturday, June 21, at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora.

“MJ LIVE: The Michael Jackson Tribute Concert,” with Jalles Franca channeling Jackson while backed by the MJ LIVE dancers and band, takes place at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Paramount Theatre.

Returning by popular demand is “Hollywood Nights: The Bob Seger Experience” featuring Rick Murphy as Seger at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Paramount Theatre.

Swifties will gather at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Paramount Theatre for “Let’s Sing Taylor: An Unofficial Live Tribute Show” featuring covers of Taylor Swift’s biggest hits.

The summer season concludes at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, with the Happy Together Tour at the Paramount Theatre. A celebration of 1960s and 1970s pop, the concert features original members of The Turtles, Jay and the Americans, Little Anthony, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Vogues and The Cowsills.
