What’s a woman?

According to Oxford English Dictionary, an adult female human being, the counterpart of man as in Adam and Eve; God's creation of two genders of humankind. But Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, a Democrat appointee, refused to define what a “woman” is, deferring instead to scientific experts in saying “I can’t … I’m not a biologist.”

Today, Democrats refuse to define girls and women in sports teams by failing to advance legislation in the Senate that sought to determine Title IX protections “based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.” A test vote on the bill failed to gain the 60 votes needed to advance in the chamber as senators stuck to party lines in a 51-45 vote tally. To get to the Senate floor, there needs at least 60 votes — a cloture vote — to get out of the filibuster and then get it voted as legislation.

For years, key members of the Democratic Party have been pushing for filibuster reform to pass key pieces of their agenda and now Democrats are using the filibuster tool to their benefit, isn’t this being two-faced. The bill’s backers needed at least seven Democrats to support a procedural vote on the legislation for it to advance to a final vote in the Senate. Although a majority of senators backed the legislation on a 51-45 vote, the legislation failed.

The bill would amend Title IX, a 1972 federal law that prohibits discrimination based on a person’s “sex.” A similar bill narrowly passed the House of Representatives in late January with only two Democrats joining the Republican majority in support of it.

It seems the Democrats need to believe in God’s creation of Adam and Eve, man and woman.
