‘Derby Days’ comes to St. Charles library April 30
The Kentucky Derby is referred to as the “most exciting two minutes in sports.”
Singer-songwriter Rick Pickren will perform a derby-themed music concert at the St. Charles Public Library at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30.
The “Derby Days” concert will be held in the library’s Carnegie Community Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.
Pickren is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Musicology and an Master of Fine Arts in Theater. He has performed his music and history programs at hundreds of museums, libraries, historical societies, colleges, and churches. He also starred as Jim in the original production of “Pump Boys & Dinettes” in Chicago at the Apollo Theatre.
