Warren Township High School to host 14th annual Live Arts Festival

Warren Township High School invites the community to an evening of creativity, talent, and inspiration at the 14th annual live arts festival, taking place from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at the Almond Campus, 34090 N. Almond Road, Gurnee.

This dynamic celebration brings together art, music, theater and dance for one night. Students from Warren Township High School will showcase their talents through live performances, interactive workshops and engaging activities that highlight the strength and diversity of WTHS's fine arts programs.

Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Highlights of the evening will include:

● Performances by Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band I, Giggles 'n Bits Improv, Shakespeare Slam and the Warren Theatre Camp

● An encore presentation of the WTHS Spring Musical

● Art displays, caricatures, face painting, shirt decorating and a drum circle

● Interactive workshops running from 6-9 p.m. in the cafeteria

● Short Film Festival, karaoke and student bands performing in the Black Box

Main Gymnasium Performance Schedule:

● 6 p.m.: Wind Symphony

● 6:25 p.m.: Winter Guard (Varsity)

● 6:40 p.m.: Student Award Presentations (Grades 1-8)

● 6:55 p.m.: Warren Theatre Camp

● 7:10 p.m.: Shakespeare Slam

● 7:25 p.m.: Giggles 'n Bits

● 7:45 p.m.: Short Film Festival Preview

● 7:50 p.m.: Choir & Spring Musical Showcase

● 8:15 p.m.: Announcement of Penny War Winner

● 8:20 p.m.: Best in Show and Top 3 Art Awards

● 8:30 p.m.: Jazz Ensemble

● 9 p.m.: Event ends

This year, WTHS also celebrates a major achievement at the state level: Two WTHS students were awarded Gold Medals at the 2025 Illinois High School Art Exhibition, where 150 high schools from across the state were represented. WTHS proudly brought home two of the five Gold Medals awarded statewide:

● Senior Ruby Lester received Gold in Sculpture (Rocco Oddo’s Ceramics Class)

● Senior Eshelle Zeehan received Gold in Drawing (Kate Knutson’s AP Studio)

The festival is a celebration of the passion and talent of WTHS’s students, faculty, and community. Whether you're an art enthusiast, music lover, theater fan, or just looking for a fun night out with the family, the Live Arts Festival has something for everyone.
