Trump says Russia has made a ‘pretty big concession’ by stopping short of seizing all of Ukraine
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump says Russia has already made a “pretty big concession” to end the war in Ukraine by stopping short of taking control of the whole country.
But the notion is one that Ukraine and much of Europe have fiercely pushed back against, arguing that Russia pausing a land grab is hardly a concession.
Earlier Thursday, Trump called on President Vladimir Putin to “STOP!” the attacks on Ukraine, a rare rebuke of the Russian leader by the U.S. president.
“I didn’t like last night,” Trump said of Russia's massive attack on Kyiv, which led to him criticizing Putin. “I wasn’t happy with it.”
