Outdoor dining season kicks off May 2 in downtown Wheaton

A stretch of Hale Street in downtown Wheaton once again will turn into an al fresco dining scene.

Born out of the pandemic, the Hale Street Tents are managed by the Downtown Wheaton Association and offer additional outdoor dining space shared by nearby restaurants.

Starting late Sunday, the block of Hale between Front and Wesley streets will be closed to vehicle traffic.

The Hale Street Tents will be open for dining from Friday, May 2, through Oct. 5, with live music on select Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays provided by the Downtown Wheaton Association.

For details, visit the Downtown Wheaton Association's website.
