Two men held up at gunpoint in Downers Grove, police search for suspect
Downers Grove police are seeking the public’s help in solving an armed robbery Friday evening.
Two men were held up at gunpoint by a masked man about 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of 75th Street, authorities said.
A preliminary investigation indicates the suspect pointed a firearm at the two, then stole their cash and two cellphones.
The offender took off on foot heading south across 75th Street.
The suspect was described as a Black man, roughly 6 feet tall with a muscular build, wearing a black hoodie and pants, and a ski mask.
He had shoulder length dreads with yellow/gold highlights, police said.
No one is in custody yet and police are asking anyone with tips to call (630) 434-5600.
