Authorities searching for man who robbed Kildeer bank branch Friday

Authorities are searching for a man they said is responsible for robbing a Bank of America branch Friday morning in Kildeer.

Police were called to the branch on the 20200 block of North Rand Road at 10:30 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery.

The man is described as white, about 60, weighing roughly 210 pounds, standing 5-feet, 7-inches tall with a gray goatee. He was wearing a dark jacket, gray shirt and black and silver eyeglasses.

Witnesses told investigators the man presented a note to the teller and implied he had a gun, but did not display any weapon.

The suspect fled in a newer model GMC Acadia, authorities said.
