Where were all the Blagojevich allies?
Thursday's front page article on how the Rezko conviction might affect the important work of our state government, including the funding of a badly needed capital bill, is full of quotes and observations from both Democrat and Republican lawmakers who are on record as being frustrated with the governor and his lack of constructive leadership.
Conspicuous by their absence were any comments from Blago allies like Terry Link and Emil Jones who have found reasons to not only protect the governor from a recall vote, but who have allowed his salary to increase and who worked to move his corrupt agenda forward. Where they not available for comment?
