S.C. gov's wife a role model
Hurray for Jenny Sanford! How great to have an American role model for backbone. She gave the guy five months to get his act together. He refused the offer. She owes him nothing more. She didn't squander her dignity by holding his hand as he faced the music, in the blind hope that everything would be all right. She enlarged her dignity by standing up for what really matters. Her values and the character of her sons matter more than being married to power.
If more Americans would quit blindly believing everything is going to be all right as our jobs and our savings and our country are being stolen from us in plain sight, and would stand up to the bullies in the pulpit, we could reclaim our American dignity. Come on, people - stand up for your country, your livelihood, your children's future, your dignity.
Our country is being stolen from us. What matters to you - being taxed to insolvency, being controlled through massive corporate takeovers, massive unemployment due to failing banks, redistributing the wealth so that no one is wealthy enough to create healthy businesses that put people to work, passing on unbearable government debt to generations to come or empty government promises?
Let's get a backbone and start reclaiming our country! Fight for it! Be like Jenny!
