Red-light cameras' series good reporting

Thank you to the Daily Herald for the investigative reporting on the red-light cameras and how they are being used mainly to make money for the towns and how they only catch people turning right on red.

When coming to a red light and trying to turn right, drivers can never stop at the white line because you can't see around traffic and other obstacles. Drivers always pull past the white line, then usually stop before making a right. But with the red-light cameras, that triggers a ticket.

This type of reporting is what people expect from their newspapers. Most newspapers are losing readers because they don't do this type of reporting. Investigations like this are required to keep government honest and fair. I'm keeping my subscription and will continue to do so as long as the Daily Herald continues doing a nice job of investigative reporting.
