Briefs: Boise Paper meets new guidelines

BENSENVILLE -- Boise Paper, a division of Boise Cascade LLC, Tuesday said its Beware, an anti-copy/anti-scan paper, is in compliance with new federal guidelines for paper-based security features in Medicaid papers. New requirements go into effect Monday. The paper was developed by Document Security Systems Inc., which specializes in patented protection against counterfeiting and unauthorized copying, scanning and photo imaging.

AARP honors local companies

CHICAGO -- The AARP 2007 list of 50 Best Employers for Workers Over 50 released Tuesday includes six area companies. They were recognized for their policies and practices relating to older workers. They were Argonne National Laboratory in DuPage County, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association of Chicago, Centegra Health System of Crystal Lake, John Deere of Moline, Rush-Copley Medical Center of Aurora and Centers for New Horizons of Chicago.
