Akemann would be fair, honest judge

When you take a Republican ballot Tuesday, I ask you to vote for David Akemann, judge for circuit court.

Akemann was Kane County state's attorney for eight years. He served with honesty and fairness, with no favors for the inside crowd. He was the founder of the Child Advocacy Center in Kane County. He created a domestic violence task force to make sure that victims of domestic abuse were heard and helped. He cares, especially about our youngest victims.

Akemann was raised in a family where public service was the norm. He co-founded Children's Theatre of Elgin. He has been an active leader in his church and served as a volunteer in Public Action to Deliver Shelter and United Way.

Akemann's broad experience in the law includes both civil and criminal cases. He has experience statewide in taskforces on drinking and driving and gang prevention. The diversity of his service and the depth of his legal experience have prepared him to be a fair and honest judge.
