Briefs: Aldi hires new marketing agency

BATAVIA -- Public relations firm MWW Group announced the addition of Aldi Inc. to its client roster. Aldi, a discount grocer operating in 18 countries worldwide, has nearly 900 stores in the U.S. MWW Group will lead a multi-faceted public relations campaign for Aldi's U.S. operation to increase recognition among shoppers as Aldi expands into new markets and increases its presence in existing locations from Kansas to the East Coast. ALDI, with its U.S. headquarters in Batavia, entered the U.S. market in 1976. Today Aldi operates stores in 27 states.

Berg Engineering makes the grade

SCHAUMBURG -- The Illinois chapter of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers awarded Berg Engineering Consultants the 2007 Excellence in Engineering Award for the design of the Lyons Township High School south campus swimming pool heating and air conditioning unit.
