The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce gathered with the village of South Barrington and Arboretum management for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 13 to celebrate the opening of Pure Green Juice Bar at 100 W. Higgins Road, Suite F40, in The Arboretum of South Barrington. Pure Green owner Andy Avila said the business offers nutrient-rich superfoods and a variety of cold pressed juices, smoothies and açaí bowls made to order.

Bloomingdale Area Women In Business came together for an evening of socialization and cooking at Cooking Skill Social in Itasca. The group worked with Chef Alex to assemble various sushi rolls. The women also donated meals for the Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry.

The Chicago Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors presented the Richard G. Levy President's Award to Garry Weiss, vice president and national director of business development and strategic initiatives at ARCO/Murray. The award was given at SIOR Chicago’s Holiday Luncheon on Dec. 1, 2023, and accepted by Garry’s son Matt Weiss.
