Want to serve your community? Lazarus House offers volunteer orientation

Looking for volunteer opportunities to help within your community? Willing to help your neighbors in crisis?

Lazarus House will host a volunteer orientation Saturday, July 16. Two sessions are offered that day, from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. or 1 to 2:45 p.m. During these sessions, gain awareness of Lazarus House's programs, learn about the many ways volunteers provide assistance within these programs and tour our shelter.

To register for the orientation, contact Lazarus House at volunteer@lazarushouseonline.com or (630) 587-2144.

Lazarus House, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, provides emergency shelter, transitional living and homeless prevention services to our neighbors in crisis from within the Tri-Cities and western rural Kane County. From its beginning, 18 years ago, Lazarus House has helped men, women and children get back on their feet financially, mentally, physically and spiritually. Lazarus House is dependent upon volunteers each and every day to share in providing hope and a future to those in need. You, too, can help your neighbors achieve their goals and dreams.

Visit www.lazarushouseonline.com or www.facebook.com/LazarusHouseIL.

The next orientations will be Aug. 20, Oct. 1, and Nov. 12.
