Sign up for Palatine Library’s Summer Reading Program

Celebrate a century of stories with us this summer and participate in Palatine Library’s annual summer reading program.

Palatine cardholders of all ages are welcome to sign up for summer reading from Saturday, June 1 through Thursday, Aug. 15. Visit palatinelibrary.org/summerreading2024 to register on the Beanstack app and log your books online or visit any library location to sign up.

Get the festivities going on Saturday, June 1 from noon to 3 p.m. with a kickoff party at the Main Library. Members of all ages are invited to stop by the Main Library for an afternoon of nonstop fun with family bingo, balloons, crafts and a chance to win prizes. On June 1, from 1-2 p.m., Jared the Juggler mixes comedy and juggling in a show like no other. Tickets are available for Palatine cardholders only starting May 18.

After signing up, visit the Main Library to get a scratch-off card for your chance to win a prize. The scratch-off card has great coupons and discounts from all around town courtesy of our sponsors Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, Grow Music Academy, Hoffman Estates Park District, Los Arcos Mexican Grill, Lou Malnatis, My FlavorIt! Place, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Palatine Park District, Photos Hot Dogs, Raising Canes, Salt Creek Park District and Tievoli Pizza Bar.

Finish your reading requirements by Aug. 15 to get a free T-shirt or tote bag generously funded by the Friends of Palatine Library. Help us celebrate the next chapter of our library’s history by signing up for summer reading.

The vision of Palatine Library District (palatinelibrary.org) is to inspire connection, curiosity and joy. The district serves approximately 90,000 residents predominantly within the communities of Palatine and Hoffman Estes.
