Road closure, detour planned for railroad crossing work in Hanover Park June 24-28

The railroad crossing at County Farm Road in Hanover Park will undergo a renewal in late June, requiring a complete road closure for up to five days.

The complete track structure will be replaced, with a new rubber crossing surface installed.

The work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. June 24 and conclude by 6 p.m. June 28. HighStar Traffic will coordinate detour signs and barricades.

The proposed detour route will utilize Schick Road to the north, Gary Avenue to the east and Army Trail Road to the south. Advance road closure signs will be displayed 14 days prior to the closure.
