Barrington UMC welcomes Gene Green on Sunday, June 23

Barrington United Methodist Church is honored to welcome Gene L. Green, Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Wheaton College, to lead worship services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 23.

Green holds a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen and has an esteemed career, including teaching the New Testament and serving as academic dean and rector at the Seminario ESEPA in San José, Costa Rica.

He is a prolific author with four biblical commentaries in Spanish and English and notable works such as “Vox Petri: A Theology of Peter” (Cascade, 2019). He is also co-author of “The New Testament in Antiquity” (Zondervan, 2009) and co-editor of “Global Theology in Evangelical Perspective” (InterVarsity Academic, 2012). His current research focuses on the intersection of the Christian faith and cultures, both ancient and contemporary.
