Household chemical waste collection in Lake Zurich
The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County is holding a household chemical waste collection event from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, in the parking lot at Lake Zurich High School, 300 Church St.
Compact fluorescent lamps, unwanted prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines and supplements (people and pet), household cleaners, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints and varnishes and more will be accepted.
Latex paint, business waste, or lab chemicals and smoke detectors are among the items not accepted.
