Aurora to light up the skies with July 3 firework show

Join the city of Aurora as they celebrate Independence Day by living up to its “City of Lights“ motto with a spectacular fireworks display on the evening of Wednesday, July 3, in downtown Aurora.

The best viewing is available at RiverEdge Park at 360 N. Broadway Ave. (gates open at 6 p.m.) and McCullough Park, 150 W. Illinois Ave.

From 6 to 9:45 p.m., DJ Suave Smooth will be spinning at RiverEdge Park, and DJ Pena at McCullough Park.

Accessible by foot by both parks, Wilder Park and Promenade at 350 N. River St. will host a food truck court full of food vendors for fireworks spectators. The food trucks will begin selling at 5 p.m.
