Enjoy four days of fun at Mundelein Community Days July 4-7
The annual Mundelein Community Days festival returns Thursday through Sunday, July 4-7. The four-day celebration of the best of Mundelein includes carnival rides, fireworks, a parade, food, music, and more. Most events take place in Kracklauer Park, 116 N. Lake St., Mundelein.
Carnival hours will be 2-11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2-8 p.m. Sunday. The Mundelein Munch will offer food from local vendors from noon to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Participating vendors include Bill's Pizza & Pub, Brothers BBQ, El Campeon, El Sazon de Edmar, Gale Street Inn, La Rosita Supermarket, Lee Concessions, Los Magueyes Mexican Grill, Lucky Bites Bar & Grill, Maya's Restaurant, Smokin BBQ on 45, Supermercado Gisselle, Taco & Burrito Express and Tamales Diana.
Musical performances include Brass From The Past and The Mackenzie O'Brien Band Thursday, The Four C Notes and Libido Funk Circus Friday, Mellencougar and Mike & Joe Saturday, and 7th heaven Sunday.
Fireworks are planned for 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The Mundelein Community Days Parade will step off at 2 p.m. Sunday from Mundelein High School and travel east on Hawley Street, south on Seymour Avenue and east on Division Street to the Metra Station.
Other activities include fire engine and pony rides, a petting zoo, a bags tournament, a car show and more.
