Palatine celebrates Fourth of July with Hometown Parade

Thousands of people lined the route of Fourth of July parade on a gorgeous day in downtown Palatine Saturday.

Kids waved flags and gathered candy as parade units from a variety of municipal, civic and business organizations passed by.

The parade was a part of Jaycees Hometown Fest, which continues from noon until 5 p.m. at Community Park Sunday.
