Fun summer event will also help shape future of transportation in Hoffman Estates

Hoffman Estates is hosting a free community event, the “Hoffman in Motion” Summer Hang, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at South Ridge Park, 1450 Freeman Road.

This event is part of “Hoffman in Motion,” a multimodal transportation planning project that's shaping the future of travel in the village. The project is considering ways to make walking, biking, and public transit more safe and convenient for everyone.

Participants can join the fun and help shape how residents and workers get around Hoffman Estates.

The family-friendly event features yard games, transit karaoke, a bike repair station, a meet-and-greet with Gus from the Windy City Bulls and prizes.

Free on-street parking is available on Freeman Road between Chesapeake Drive and Mumford Drive. Make sure not to park in front of residential driveways or fire hydrants.
