Seven organists to perform at 'Bach and Beyond' concert July 28 in Aurora

"Bach and Beyond at the Marmion Abbey," a free concert by seven area organists, will be performed Friday, July 28.

The 24th annual concert by the Fox Valley chapter of American Guild of Organists will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Abbey church, 850 Butterfield Road in Aurora.

The public is invited. Parking is free. Admission is free although donations will be accepted at the door to support a youth education fund.

The program will feature organ works by J.S. Bach, Nicolaus Bruhns (a contemporary of Bach), Felix Mendelssohn and Gabriel Dupont.

Organists will perform on the Abbey's Martin Ott pipe organ, an instrument with 1,226 individual pipes.
