St. Charles Public Library Foundation to host 'Books & Brunch' fundraiser

The St. Charles Public Library Foundation recently announced that internationally acclaimed author Scott Turow will be the guest speaker at this year's "Books & Brunch" fundraising event on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Turow is the author of many bestselling works of fiction, including "Testimony," "Identical," "Innocent," "Presumed Innocent," and "The Burden of Proof," as well as two nonfiction books.

The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the St. Charles Country Club, 1250 Country Club Road in St. Charles.

It will include a lecture, autograph signing, book giveaways, basket raffles and delicious food.

Tickets go on sale Monday, June 26. It is $65 per person and must be purchased in advance.

Seating is limited.

Tickets may be purchased by calling the library's administration office at (630) 584-0076, ext. 230, or in person at the library, located at 1 S. Sixth Ave. in St. Charles.

The St. Charles Public Library Foundation is a nonprofit corporation established in 1993 to provide funds to enhance and enrich library programs and services through tax-deductible contributions.
