Mariachi Herencia de México comes to Schaumburg Prairie Center Oct. 8

The acclaimed Mariachi Herencia de México performs at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.

The historic tradition of mariachi music has its roots of origin in cities such as Guadalajara and Mexico City. As the ever-evolving genre's influence spread, it reached Chicago and birthed the Mariachi Herencia de México. The energetic, virtuosic Latin Grammy-nominated group has performed across the North American continent. "Nuestra Herencia," their 2017 debut album, topped the Latin streaming charts. In 2022, the ensemble celebrated its fifth release, "Herederos," while on a successful North American tour.

Tickets for Mariachi Herencia de México, are $52 ($48 students and seniors) and can be ordered online at prairiecenter.org or by calling (847) 895-3600.

The Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts is at 201 Schaumburg Court, in Schaumburg.
