Addison woman charged in Naperville stabbing

An Addison woman was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with stabbing a woman in Naperville.

Adrienne C. Williams, 28, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery and taken to the DuPage County jail following the report of a stabbing in the 100 block of East Bailey Road in Naperville.

Police officers arrived at the scene at about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday. According to officials, the stabbing occurred inside the apartment of a mutual acquaintance of the two women.

According to officials, Williams, of the 700 block of North Meadows Boulevard in Addison, fled the scene on foot and was arrested without incident by police officers while she was hiding near the apartment building.

The victim, a 28-year-old woman from Hanover Park, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released.
