New Podcast Series Guides Business Owners

Laurie Huspen, founder of Valuable Resources Co. (VRC), a leading C-Suite and human resources consulting group, has revamped her ongoing podcast series under the name Consulting In the C-Suite. The twice monthly discussion will focus on issues impacting the business lifecycle from launch through succession.

Huspen has been producing a podcast series for several years under the original name Taboo Topix. The branding change aligns with the evolution of her business.

"Early in my career I focused heavily on matters related to human resources," said Huspen. "But that work led me to interact with CEOs and COOs, and I found myself doing a great deal of consulting and advising on business operations. Much of our work now focuses on M&A, business succession planning, and private equity deals so the podcast has evolved as well."

Huspen notes that the human resources realm is still among the most overlooked in both operations and mergers but by leading M&A teams through numerous transactions over the years she has built a process that encompasses all areas of the business.

She recently released a step-by-step How to Sell Your Business guide that outlines the critical components of a successful merger or sale.

"Whether it is to private equity, an individual buyer, or even a family member, the sale or merger of a successful business requires a singular focus that most small to mid-sized businesses are not equipped to handle," Huspen said. "The podcast series will focus on many of the areas of a business that need attention even in routine times long before an owner thinks of selling."

Found at https://www.blogtalkradio.com/consultinginthecsuite, the podcast will focus on business transactions, corporate culture, employee performance and retention, and will rely on Huspen's extensive experience guiding companies from launch to transition.

"I am able to draw from the things I have seen at the C-level and share case studies that are applicable if you have 5 employees or 500," Huspen said. "I also welcome questions and topics from business owners for me to address in the series." Huspen invites feedback via lhuspen@vrc-hr.com
