Nominations open for Glenview Environmental Sustainability Awards

The Village of Glenview is accepting nominations through Nov. 1 for its 2021 environmental sustainability awards, sponsored by the Natural Resources Commission.

Nominees can be any organization - including businesses, houses of worship, schools and volunteer groups - that serve Glenview.

Nominations may be considered in terms of three categories: Innovation, Leadership, and Education and Outreach. The activity and results a nominee cites should have been completed within the last 12 months.

Three 2020 honorees received Innovation awards: Blue Star Recyclers (Gold), Wiseacre Farms (Silver) and Glenshore Condominiums (Bronze). Tres Mimi won the Leadership award, and New to You received the Education and Outreach sustainability award.
