Wauconda Bunny Hop charity run

What better way to spend part of a Saturday in April than with a quick run around Bangs Lake in Wauconda?

Runners from Sharing Time and Resources charities sponsored Saturday's sixth annual Wauconda Bunny Hop.

A timed 4-mile race kicked off at 9 a.m. from the Wauconda Park District on Main Street, with runners circling Bangs Lake. A 2-mile fun run/walk and a Junior Bunny Hop Mini-Dash for kids up to 10 years old was also part of the day.

Participants enjoyed prizes, T-shirts and photo ops.

Proceeds from this year's event benefits Wauconda High School's Future Business Leaders of America and Veterans R&R.
