Elgin City Church to offer Parenting Workshop
"Relationships are never easy and often challenging, especially with children involved. They often take work and regular maintenance," says Rusty Wimberly. "That is why we are hosting this event for parents, newlyweds or seasoned spouses."
Elgin City Church is offering a marriage and family workshop called "Greater" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
The guest speakers will be Larry and Gail Naselli, marriage and family leaders at Church on the Rock in Huntley. They have been married for over 30 years, raising eight kids. They have given their lives to strengthen marriages and families.
They will discuss "Secrets to Creating a Tight-knit Family" and "Building Peace in Your Home."
Lunch will be provided and the cost of the event is only $35 for early registration. Elgin City Church is a new church that opened in February of 2016 with the mission to connect people to God, through Jesus Christ, and to connect others to a close-knit faith community.
"We hope to provide those in the Elgin area with a faith community they can feel connected to. Many Christians often feel like they get lost at their church and never really get plugged in because of the size. We are a small group of people that love God and love others, just as Jesus taught," Wimberly said.
