Grass Lake Staff Carve Out A Fun Night at Susanna Farm

Antioch's Grass Lake School Staff enjoyed a fun evening at Susanna Farm to kick off the fall season. Staff and their families were invited to participate in a hayride, interact with the animals on the farm, enjoy grilling and smores around the fire. The real fun came when each of the attendees were invited to create and carve a pumpkin for the all staff pumpkin contest. The top ten pumpkins were returned to the school where the students selected the top two winners. The prize for first place was a comp day with the principal, Ryan Wollberg, as their sub for the day. The second place prize was a hand carved sign of the GLS logo by Ben Bartollotta. After a week of voting, the winners were declared by the students: First place- Mrs. Cheryl Hertzke, Pre-K. Second place- Ms. Nicole Sweeney and Mrs. Deanna Denman. Now the negotiations begin for the sign.
