Bernie's Book Bank Distributes 25 Millionth Free Book

On Friday, November 10th Bernie's Book Bank distributed its 25 Millionth free book since 2009. Smiling children from Glen Flora Elementary School in Waukegan, IL greeted the Bernie's Book Bank team as they personally distributed the books. Glen Flora Elementary Principal Joel Ruiz showed his appreciation for Bernie's Book Bank in his opening remark: "Thank you so much for all the work you guys do. Our students appreciate it. They read their books throughout the year and take them home. Our staff has seen firsthand the impact of Bernie's Book Bank Books on our children, so thank you!"

Bernie's Book Bank was founded in Brian Floriani's garage and sourced, processed, and distributed 140,000 children's books in its first year. Bernie's Book Bank envisions a future where every child has equal access to books and the opportunities they inspire. To create this future, Bernie's Book Bank sources millions of new and gently used books from generous donors then levels them into age-appropriate groups places and identifying stickers on them, and then selects a variety of 8 new and gently used titles to be placed into a bag for distribution.
