Registration Open for Food Truck Rally and Sunset 5K

Registration is now open for College of DuPage's Food Truck Rally and Sunset 5K, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 17.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the COD Fuel Pantry, a sustenance resource on campus for COD students scheduled to open during the fall 2016 semester.

The Food Truck Rally and Sunset 5K will feature popular Chicago and DuPage mobile eateries from noon to 8 p.m. Also open during this time will be the Kid Zone featuring activities for the whole family, including Touch-A-Truck, where emergency vehicles, grounds equipment and semi-tractor trailers will be on hand for kids to see, feel and climb on.

The 100-Yard Youth Dash will begin at 4 p.m. on the football stadium track and is for kids 12 and under, with two divisions being contested - ages 4 to 7 and ages 8 to 12. The 5K will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature a CARA and USATF certified course.

The 5K awards include a $200 Visa gift card for the Top Overall male and female runners and the "Middle of the Pack" winner. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female age group winners and all 5K participants will be eligible to win an iPad.

Participants can register individually or as a team for the 5K. Team prizes will be awarded for the fastest team and the fan favorite. All 5K race participants are eligible to win a free iPad and will receive a long-sleeved technical T-shirt and a gift bag that includes a $2 Food Truck Rally voucher.

Advance registration is $19.67 for individuals (to commemorate COD's opening in 1967 in celebration of its 50th anniversary), $5 for currently enrolled COD students (limitations apply), and $5 for the 100-Yard Youth Dash. Click here to register now.
