DAR Fills Halloween Buckets for Comer Children's Hospital
Members of Barrington, IL-based Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR, assembled "Halloween Buckets" for UCHicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital in Chicago, IL. The colorful buckets, which contain games, puzzles, markers, and other age-appropriate toys, are intended for boys and girls aged toddler to teen. The Halloween Buckets have become a tradition for the Chapter in recognition of the DAR's National Day of Service.
The Signal Hill Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was chartered fifty years ago in Barrington, IL in 1972. NSDAR is a volunteer women's service organization headquartered in Washington, DC.
DAR members promote historic preservation, education and patriotism via commemorative events, scholarships and educational initiatives, citizenship programs, service to veterans, meaningful community service and more.
