Jets waive fullback Julian Howsare after 2 games

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) - The New York Jets have waived fullback Julian Howsare, who surprisingly beat out veteran Tommy Bohanon for a roster spot in training camp.

The move Thursday leaves the Jets without a fullback on their roster. New York did not immediately announce a corresponding move.

Howsare, a converted linebacker from Clarion University, was signed as an undrafted free agent last year. He spent most of last season on the Jets' practice squad.

In two games this season, Howsare played three snaps on offense and was in on 30 special teams plays.
