Tri-Cities Methodists celebrate new year with combined service
Three Fox Valley United Methodist congregations rang in 2024 with a combined New Year's Eve worship.
The 9:30 a.m. event was hosted by Baker Memorial UMC in St. Charles in collaboration with Batavia UMC and United Methodist Church of Geneva.
Participating pastors were Rev. Melissa Meyers, Baker UMC; Rev. Rob Hamilton, pastor, GUMC; and Rev. David Aslesen, pastor, Batavia UMC.
Rev. Meyers, preached on "Star Words." A fellowship time with refreshments concluded the event.
Called Tri-City Methodists, the combined churches gather together for several joint events annually.
