Advocate Health Care named one of top integrated health systems

Oak Brook, Ill. Advocate Health Care announced today that it has been recognized as one of the nation's leading health care organizations for integration by Beckers' Hospital Review.

Researchers at the Chicago publication chose the hospitals and health systems based on peer nominations and integrated healthcare analytics complied by Becker's editorial team.

Advocate was named among 61 health systems to know for achieving a high level of integration as demonstrated through strong physician alignment, and for providing access to an array of health services beyond direct patient care, including pharmacies, educational opportunities, management companies and health plans.

“This recognition underscores our commitment to building one of the best clinical integration programs in the country,” said Dr. Lee Sacks, executive vice president and chief medical officer. “AdvocateCare, our new transformational approach to health care delivery, continues to allow us to provide better coordination, transitions and cost savings for the patients and communities we are so privileged to serve.”

Last month, Advocate Health Care was recognized as one of the nation's leading health care organizations in integration according to IMS, the country's leading provider of information services for the healthcare industry Advocate ranked 8th out of the top100 integrated hospital networks analyzed by the Connecticut-based IMS Health.
