Glenbard Parent Series community read focuses on realizing potential, creating change

On Wednesday, Sept. 27, the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present its community read, "The Promise of a Pencil: How an Ordinary Person Can Create Extraordinary Change," with New York Times bestselling author Adam Braun.

It wil begin at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Go to glenbardgps.org for further information and the links to this webinar.

This year's community read is a riveting memoir about an ordinary person creating extraordinary change - something Braun believes everyone can do.

Braun will share inspirational insights and tools that can lead to finding meaning and making a difference.

Braun was on a fast track to a successful Wall Street career when a small request led to a staggering series of events. "The Promise of a Pencil" chronicles his journey to find his calling.

Braun details steps everyone can take to turn their biggest ambitions into reality. In addition, he will share five key phrases that will serve as guideposts to personal upskilling, transformation and realizing your potential.

Braun is a bestselling author and entrepreneur who founded Pencils of Promise, an award-winning organization that has built nearly 600 schools around the world.

Continuing professional development units are available for this webinar.
